I fell in love with the mountains in 1965 when I was 15 years of age. My mother took me to Mars Hill College in North Carolina to help open the first workshop in theater and after that I did summerstock in Burnsville N.C. The Smokey Mountains made quite an impression on me! I declared to my parents that I would own a mountain one day! Quite an exclamation for a 15 year old! After high school I went on to the University of Georgia to receive a Bachelor Degree in Education and Speech and later received a J.D. degree.
I was born in 1950 and am still wildly in love with the mountains! I have lived in the Cascade Mountains in Oregon, the Rockies in Aspen, Colorado, around the mountains in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and in the Smokey Mountains. I have lived in Blue Ridge since 1992, on 63 acres on the side of a mountain with my husband of 30 years, Charlie, who lost a battle with cancer in 2013.
I now live on our 63 acres with my dogs, an American Bulldog Rockey, Lucy and Boo. I live in paradise – what more can I say?! I have sold property in Blue Ridge since 2001 and I cannot imagine doing anything else. Not a day goes by that I am not thrilled to be out showing people our gorgeous mountains! Whether you prefer to be high on the mountains with views that will knock your socks off, in the woods, on a roaring white water creek, or our placid Lake Blue Ridge, contact me at 706–632–7321, come take a ride with me, and let me introduce you to our beloved mountains.
